What quantities do you sell your products in?

We sell our products in different quantities. With most of our products, the more you purchase the better the rate gets so we've had to list a set quantity breakdown. Our standard breakdown is as follows: 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 5000.

If the product in which you are looking at has an option on the right hand side of the product called "Quantity Required", this is the list of quantities in which we sell that product in. When this right hand side drop down menu is altered you will see the price change accordingly.

I keep getting an error message when I try to pay. What should I do?

If you see an error message stating that your credit card is invalid, this has most likely happened for one of the following reasons:

1. You have incorrectly entered your credit card number.
2. You have incorrectly entered your CVV code.
3. You have incorrectly entered your expiration date.
4. You have used a cancelled credit card to place your order.
5. Your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions only (sales where your card is physically scanned).
6.
You have insufficient funds

Please double-check your credit card and/or with your bank to ensure that none of these problems have occurred. If you realize that you've made a mistake, simply return to the payment option page and enter in the correct information. Continue checking out as normal.

If you're still encountering problems, please contact us. However, at NO point should you ever e-mail us your full credit card number. Your e-mail does not have the same security features in place as our website.

If you wish to reference a specific credit card that you already have on file with us, please reference by the order number.

If you believe that your card is restricted to point-of-sale transactions, you must either contact your bank about removing such restrictions, provide us with a different credit card, or choose a new payment method.

What would the delivery be to a foreign country?

If you have realised that you have ordered the wrong product, simply send it back to us along with a copy of your invoice and a covering letter and we happily refund you the total amount of the goods you have returned. You will then be free to place your order once again, if need be.

Please note: if you are returning products the returned products will need to be in a re-salable condition otherwise we cannot honour the refund. We do not refund postage costs.

Can I place an order and have it delivered to my client?

Yes, that's no problem. We can send out your parcel to your client under 'Plain Cover'. Plain cover means, that we would send your parcel out to the address provided without any connection relating back to our company.

Envelope Manufacturing Tolerances

Normal machinery variances in the envelope manufacturing industry are +/- 2mm. This occurs because as machinery runs, it heats up, and metal expands.

In addition, normal wear in cylinders and bearings can cause subtle variations in cutting location and folding scores. As a result, your envelope may be ever so slightly larger or slightly smaller than you ordered.

What is GSM?

What does GSM mean?

You may have noticed that envelopes are supplied in a range of different GSM. This is also true of paper and card, but what does this mean?

What does GSM mean?

GSM stands for 'Grams Per Square Meter' and means the amount of grams a single sheet of paper weighs measuring 1m x 1m.

Paper that is used to manufacture envelopes generally start at thin 70gsm all the way to up to a much thicker 180gsm paper. A lower gsm paper, such as 30 - 60gsm, would be used for something like newspapers but is much too thin to enclose anything without it becoming torn. Higher GSM envelopes such as 130gsm are much thicker and higher quality which makes them popular for use as wedding invitations. You can see the table below which shows the GSM and common uses.

GSMCommon Uses
70 - 90gsmBusiness Envelopes to enclose letters, thin documents. These envelopes are generally cheap.
90gsm - 100gsmAverage envelope that is used to send through the postal system.
110 - 130gsmPremium envelope that are popular as use for wedding invitations or greetings cards envelopes.
140 - 180gsmThick envelopes that are very sturdy and protect it's contents.

An envelope is the first thing that you see and can help improve deliverability, increase open rates, promote offers and communicate a positive brand image. Simply by using a coloured envelope over a plain white envelope can increase open rates by nine times! You can communicate a positive brand image further by having your brand printed onto an envelope of your choice!

How to Address an Envelope in the UK

In order to get your letters and mail delivered to the correct address as quickly as possible, you need to ensure you address your envelope in the right format.

Addressing your envelope

  • Left align the name and address of the recipient.
  • Use neat handwriting that is easily readable or if printing the address, use a clear easy to read font (Avoid fancy fonts)
  • Make sure the colour of the address you use is clear. E.g black text on a white envelope, white text on a dark coloured envelope.
  • Leave enough space in between lines
  • Place the correct postage stamp or PPI (Printed Postage Impressions) in the top right-hand corner

Please see below an example of a correctly addressed envelope

How to address an envelope

Return address

Although not a requirement, it is good practice to add a return address to your mail in the event that it doesn't get delivered to the intended address. You can place the return address anywhere on the envelope but it is recommended to place this on the back of the envelope to avoid confusion with the delivery address.

Are envelopes recyclable?

Recycled Envelopes

Yes, paper envelopes are recyclable and can be placed in your household recycling bin/box to be collected by your local council. However, envelopes with windows may not be completely recyclable due to the window being made of plastic. Although the plastic isn't able to be recycled, it can now be separated from the envelope easily at the paper mills. Another option would be to manually remove the window yourself.

Can envelopes with bubble wrap be recycled?

Envelopes with bubble wrap such as padded envelopes, jiffy bags or bubble bags cannot be recycled due to them being made of multiple materials (paper, plastic & other materials).

Where to buy recycled envelopes?

You're in the right place. We supply a range of totally recycled envelopes in a whole range of popular sizes and colours.
